What are the advantages
of online classes?
I haven't been in an
actual classroom in years. I took a class every semester, usually one at a
community college, but I always enjoyed it. There's just something about being
around people that have something in common with you. I can watch the crowd
going on and do the same thing, so it's good.
I teach, teach, teach,
and in classes that have an instructor, you're basically just sitting in your
classroom and reading, and it's not the same as it is online.
The difference of being
in a classroom versus online is that there's one or two teachers. So you're
going from lecture to lecture, and you have this idea of what you want to say,
but then the teacher's giving the lecture.
It can be good and it
can be bad. I do wish that more instructors went to classrooms. They don't like
teaching in front of the class. So you have them giving the lecture and then
the professor's still sitting there, and it's kind of awkward.
