A 2013 study from the California State University system
suggested that those who learn on-campus or in a traditional classroom have
positive effects on their physical and mental health. But it’s difficult to
fully assess how online courses might influence student well-being without
setting up tests. A 2013 review in the International Journal of Epidemiology
assessed 39 published studies on what effect online education might have on physical
health and mental health, and determined that those who learned through online
platforms are more likely to have better academic achievement than those who
have not learned on-campus.
