Online education is not an alternative to classroom teaching. This is justified by any person with a graduate level education. But during lockdown, the only option for engaging students and engaging in educational activities is online teaching. One person expresses opinion about online education. Yet the World Organization is concerned about the education of children in rural areas. It is in this context that some insight into online education and the views of many have been expressed as follows.
Although there are many obstacles, such as a network problem, all universities and institutions are open to Internet-based education through online classes. It is now becoming increasingly clear that online education is the future education system. But there is a perception that online education should be supplemented by a formal education system and not an alternative. The government has made it clear that there will be no shortage of emphasis on classroom education in primary and secondary education, although online teaching in higher education is a good thing in the future.
Significant changes in online education across the country are the state government's emphasis on digital education. The Department of Higher Education has launched the 'Jnanidhi Nidhi' Youtube portal, so far 1000 videos have been created and uploaded in accordance with the respective VVs. However, the department has not had data on its range of students. This is the first time an attempt is being made to collect students' databases. 3.44 lakh students are in government colleges and trying to get the mobile number of each student. The mobile number of 2 lakh students is currently being collected and sent via Youtube channel and WhatsApp group. The Department is leading the effort to provide technology based effective education abroad. Even preachers who are reluctant to use technology are gradually accustomed to it.
In the digital age, digitalisation of education is inevitable. As part of this, the full implementation of this can only be done when the basic technologies are available to every citizen. Every village in the country should have a mobile network and internet facility, computer / laptop and suitable software for every student. According to a survey by QuakerelliSymonds, a study of higher education in India, 73 percent of students in India rely on the Internet mobile hotspot, 15 percent use broadband and 10 percent use WiFi dongle and 2 percent say they do not have internet access. Over 60 per cent of them said that the network and internet signal was poor.
